Punjab Police invites applications from Indian Nationals for the recruitment of Sub Inspectors in district cadre. Both male and female can apply latest by 16th August 2011. Mode of application is ONLINE only.
Total 150 vacancies are for the post of Sub Inspectors. Out of this 120 posts are fixed for male candidates and rest 30 posts are for female candidates. For this at least graduation is a must and also pass in matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory subject. He / she should be more than 18 years and even less than 25 years of age as on 1st January 2011. This post is under the pay scale of Rs. 10300 – 34800/- and Rs. 3600/- as grade pay.
Selection will be based on various steps. Candidates has to go through a Physical Efficiency Test [ PET ] and after this, shortlisted qualified candidates will be allowed to give written test which will be of 100 marks and will be based on general awareness on current affairs, general science, information technology, numerical aptitude, test of reasoning and comprehension. And at last selected candidates will be called for an interview.
