Central Institute of Technology [ CIT ] , Kokrajhar was setup on 19th December 2006 at Kokrajhar district of Assam by the Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It offers technical and vocational education in various aspects, field and disciplines. It is basically for Bodo people. It is a memorandum of settlement of Bodoland Territorial Council [ BTC ].

For the post of Associate Professors, candidates should posses 1st class Ph.D degree in the relevant subject / masters degree along with minimum 8 years of teaching / research experience in the relevant subject. While for the post of Assistant Professors, Masters degree in the appropriate field of engineering / technology with minimum 60% marks is required.
