Orissa High Court Opportunities 2011 for District Judge

Orissa High Court ( OHC )was formed on 3rd April 1948. It is a high court of Orissa. The seat of court is at Cuttack and consists of a sanctioned judges strength of 27. It is totally authorised by the Constitution of India. Its decision can also be appealed to Supreme Court of India. The judges of Orissa High Court retires at the age of 62 years. Its composition method is Presidential with Conformation of Chief Justice of India and Governor of Orissa state.
 
Orissa High Court has recently published the advertisement having advertisement number 3 of 2011 for the recruitment of District Judge. Interested and eligible Indian candidates can apply in a prescribed format as on or before 24th September 2011 with all the necessary documents being attested by the Gazetted Officer. Selection of the candidates will be based on the written test  consisting of two papers of 100 marks each and interview of 30 marks. There will be a probation period of 2 years and extendable according to the performance of the candidates. Selected candidates should be fit and go through an fitness test by State Medical Board. After all these examinations, shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
 
16 posts are offered for District Judge under the pay scale of Rs.51550-63070/- with extra perks. Candidates for this post should have a relevant Graduation Degree in Law from recognized university with minimum 7 years of experience as an advocate. Candidates age should be between 35-45 years and also should have proficiency in Oriya language.
