Recruitment in South Indian Bank for the posts of Security Officer – October 2011

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following posts :


1. Security Officer (Scale II)
• Number of vacancies : 2
• Eligibility Criteria :
o The officers should be from defence forces (Army/Navy/Air Force) with minimum 5 years of defence service as officer and not below the rank of Captain in Army/ equivalent.
o Age not more than 45 years as on 31.03.2011
o Officers having experience in Banks as Security Officers will be given preference
• Scale of Pay : Rs.19400 +DA+HRA + Other allowances applicable as per IBA Rules for officers in Scale II.As per the current rates, the total initial emoluments is around Rs.40,000/- per month.
• Mode of selection : Personal Interview
• Period of probation : 1 Year


2. Security Officer (Scale I)
• Number of vacancy : 1
• Eligibility Criteria :
o B.E/B-Tech – Fire & Safety Engineering (10+2+4 regular stream) graduates with minimum 60% marks for BE/B-Tech.
o Age not more than 25 years as on 31.03.2011
• Scale of Pay : Rs.14500 +DA+HRA + Other allowances applicable as per IBA Rules for officers in Scale I.As per the current rates, the total initial emoluments is around Rs.30,000/- per month.
• Mode of selection : Personal Interview
• Period of probation : 2 Years
